We grow Pima cotton. In terms of its characteristics, Pima is significantly superior to the regular variety. It is also known as Extra Long Staple (ELS) cotton. This variety is unique among other types of cotton due to its long fiber, which gives cotton its excellent properties: strength, softness and color retention.
BENEFITS OF PIMA COTTON
PIMA is twice as strong as regular cotton, making the products extremely durable. The longer fiber resists peeling and tearing, resulting in fashion and home products that are incredibly strong and retain their shape for longevity.
PIMA cotton is inherently softer and more luxurious as it has a finer, stronger and longer fiber, resulting in less twist and greater performance. The length of staple fiber is 3.8 cm versus 2.4 cm for regular cotton. This means your items will have a luxurious softness and will get even softer over time.
Thinner PIMA fibers absorb dye better, providing deeper and longer-lasting penetration. As a result, the product retains color better than regular cotton. This means that PIMA products retain their shine from wash to wash, giving you years of use.
